What is Alt Biz Facility?

Alt Biz facility is a product designed for small businesses to augment working capital and for asset (equipment) acquisition.

How much can I get?

We do not give loan. However, we can help you with up to N3M financing limit per business!

What is the difference between Alternative Finance and normal loan?

Alternative finance transactions are based on asset acquisition and equipment financing while normal loans are based on cash only.

What business can you help me finance?

Funds are solely for the purchase of raw material, stock or equipment. It has to be directly related to the business which must be Shariah compliant.

Can you fund Fish Farmers?

Unfortunately, the bank does not encourage financing of livestock farms due to the high risk. However, a special products will be created specifically for Agric customers.

What is the minimum tenure for financing?

6 months.

What is the maximum tenure for financing?

We can do up to 24 months for equipment whilst for raw materials we can do up to 12 months.

What are the requirements?

    • The cost of insurance of the asset would be shared with the customer and factored in the facility pricing.
    • Personal guarantee of the company’s promoter supported by a sworn statement of net-worth and 2 undated cheques for facility amount.

SOCIAL MOBILIZATION FACILITY:

What is Social Mobilization Facility?

Social Mobilization Facility is a product designed to provide quick funds to micro businesses across different trading sectors. It aims at aiding aid financial inclusion.

Sterling bank agents are tasked with the mobilization and repayment of the funds.

How much can I get?

We can offer you a maximum of N250,000 per obligor.

What are the requirements for Social Mobilization Facility?

    • Membership with trade/market associations or clusters that comprise of individuals with similar businesses within the same geographical location or members of specific communities as requested by providers of Termed Qard funds.

    • Existence in trade location for 6months.
    • 1 year experience in line of business.

How do I pay my subscription for Power As A Service?

Your account stated on your contract will be debited at the end of every month.

 Can power be rolled over to the next month, if unused?

The energy provided is not metered, therefore power is fixed.

What happens if I default in payment for Lease-To-Own or Power As A Service due to unforeseen circumstances?

If default happens for the first time, reminders are done until payment is done. However, if this occurs a second time, then the Power Solution will be recovered.

Can I choose a shorter duration than 12 months for lease to own?

Yes, you pick a minimum tenor of your choice, however, the maximum tenor is 12 months

Is delivery nationwide?

Yes, we deliver nationwide.

Does delivery cost vary?

Delivery fee is dependent on the weight, size of the item and location.

How long will it take to be delivered to me?

AltPro is the Corporate Internet Banking platform that has been designed to meet your business needs. It is a safe and user friendly platform that allows you initiate bulk transactions, schedule statement delivery, generate reports, initiate international transfers and so much more.

What type of customer can register on AltPro?
Only corporate accounts can register on AltPro.

How do I get registered?

What type of transactions carried out by the initiator?
You can initiate payments and service requests. The following transactions can be initiated.

Who is a “Verifier”?
A Verifier acts as a checker of any transaction initiated by the initiator.
Who is an “Approver”?
An Approver is tasked with the responsibility of approving the verified transactions. Status of each transaction can either be accepted or rejected by the him/her.
Who is an “Authorizer”?
An authorizer authorizes approved transactions. Details of transactions requiring authorization can be viewed on the authorizer’s dashboard and can either be rejected or accepted

How can I access AltPro?
Kindly visit altpro.saf.ng. Currently, our mobile app is only available for approval roles.
Why are there various approval levels for completing transactions on AltPro?
The approval levels are put in place to ensure security of transactions through multiple levels of authentication before transactions are completed on the platform.
What do I do if the initiator on our AltPro profile has left the organization?
The corporate administrator should create another initiator and deactivate the previous one. Please note, transactions are not linked to users, but to roles.
M-token
Can I use my old token on the AltPro platform i.e token linked to the old corporate internet banking service?
No, you can’t. You’d be required to use the M-Token. Please click here (link to token page) for more information on M-token

What is the transaction limit?
The transaction limit is ten million naira (N10,000,000).
How can I increase my transaction limit?
To increase your transaction limit, kindly liaise with your relationship manager. Alternatively, please send a duly signed instruction with your company’s letter headed paper stating request and amount you’d like your limit to be enhanced to help@saf.ng

Kindly follow the following steps to view your account statement:

• Click on the accounts menu.
• Click on request statement (select account).
• Follow on-screen instructions (select date range and format: pdf or excel).
• Click on request statement (a copy is automatically sent to your registered email).

Please note that a copy will be sent to registered email address (also check junk and spam folders) and can be accessed on the platform by clicking on view requested statement.

How can I reset my password?
Please click on “Forgot Password”. Reset information will be sent to your registered email address, please look through your inbox, junk, spam and thrash folders OR send a duly signed written instruction (on your company’s letter headed paper) requesting a password reset to help@saf.ng

What does this mean? “You are not authorized to view this page”?
Are you the sole signatory? If no, please advise the administrator to profile you correctly.

Can a sole signatory corporate account holder be profiled on AltPro?
Yes, he or she can. However, the account holder must be profiled as both the admin and authorizer
Can a multiple signatory account be profiled on the platform as a sole user?
Yes, he or she can. However, a duly signed agreement by all signatories to the account must be submitted.
Can I access and initiate transactions on Altpro outside Nigeria?
Yes, you can the platform from anywhere in the world.
How does the Admin change user roles on AltPro?
Kindly click on any of the existing user/usernames and edit as required.

What is a Token?
A security token allows you to gain access to an electronically restricted resource. The token is used in addition to or in place of a password. It acts like an electronic key to access a website or computer.
For our Corporate Internet Banking Service (AltPro), the token is a second factor authentication method used for completing transactions.
What type of Token device is available on AltPro?
An M-token is used for the Altpro platform. It is a mobile token hosted on an application and can be downloaded from your phone’s Playstore (iOS & Android).
How do I activate the M-token after downloading from playstore?
Your M-token can be activated through any of these:

In-Branch:

Visit any of our branches to request to be profiled for the M-token.

Once profiling is completed, the Admin sets up the other users: initiator, authorizer, verifier and selects the type of token each user should use.

Relationship Manager:

Kindly call or send a mail to your Relationship Manager and request to be profiled on the M-token application

Customer Care:

Please send a duly signed written instruction with your company letter head to help@saf.ng

• Your instruction should contain your corporate account number, username, mobile number, email address.
• After verification, a 16-digit activation code (Valid for 10 days) would be sent to your registered email address
• Please take note of the “Country flag” (Monaco, Switzerland etc.) at the point of setup as it would be required every time you log in to the application

What does the country flag on the M-token represent?
The country flag is a second factor authentication after inputting your M-token pin. It is a security feature of your M-token.

I received the error message “Invalid Token/Invalid OTP” or “Unable to activate token” at the point of activating the code. What can i do?

How can I register for the Service?

As part of the registration process, you will be required to create a PIN to enable you access the Intra and Inter Bank transfer services on the USSD platform. Corporate account holders are not eligible.

Do I need to have airtime on my Phone line to access this service?

For airtime purchase on Airtel, Etisalat, GLO and MTN, you do not need to have airtime on your phone.

What is the maximum amount of airtime i can buy?

You can buy up to N20,000 airtime in a single purchase, and N20,000 limit per day.

 

What is the maximum amount I can transfer?
